While the Côte de Beaune is renowned for its whites, the Côte de Nuits is the homeland of red wines.
It stretches over a narrow strip from Marsannay, south of Dijon, to the Clos des Langres in Corgoloin, covering less than 30 km and encompassing villages that produce world-famous Burgundy reds as Nuits Saint Georges and Vosne-Romanée.
The secret of this Great Wine terroir? Pinot Noir, a grape variety that thrives on the limestone slopes and clay marls of the Côte de Nuits. Sun, cold and dry winter winds in the valleys atop the hillsides: the conditions are perfect for producing remarkable red wines, generous and aromatic.
Shaped by the monks of the Abbey of Cîteaux near Nuits-Saint-Georges, the vineyard is a mosaic of plots with unique characteristics : the famous Climats of Burgundy.
