The story of Domaine Felettig begins in 1965, when Henri Felettig settled in Chambolle-Musigny with 2 hectares of vines inherited from his parents. The first vintage vinified by Henri dates back to 1969. Over the following decades, the estate grew steadily: in 1973, the purchase of a larger property expanded the vineyard, and for twenty years Henri and Reine bought and leased every available plot, reaching 9 hectares by 1992. In 1993, a family partnership was formed with their children Christine and Gilbert. Today, Gilbert and his daughter Pauline continue this legacy across 11.5 hectares.
At Domaine Felettig, the philosophy is straightforward: let the terroir speak. Certified Organic since the 2024 vintage, the estate works meticulously throughout the year to obtain the finest grapes possible. Winemaking is non-interventionist: a cold pre-fermentation maceration of 6 to 7 days, spontaneous fermentation over approximately ten days, followed by ageing in oak barrels for 14 to 18 months depending on the appellation, with 100% new oak for Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines. Bottling is often guided by the lunar calendar to preserve the wines' vitality.
The estate's range is predominantly red, spanning from regional Bourgogne to Grand Cru (Échezeaux, Corton), with a fine selection of Premier Crus from Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanée, Gevrey-Chambertin, and Morey-Saint-Denis. A négociant activity complements the estate, broadening the range with additional appellations. The wines are distributed primarily for export, as well as in France through agents, wine merchants, and Michelin-starred restaurants.
