The History of Domaine Dujac
Founded in 1968 in Morey-Saint-Denis in the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Dujac is one of the most prominent estates in the Côte de Nuits. It was established by Jacques Seysses, a passionate food and wine lover who chose to change his life and become a winemaker.
Thanks to an innovative approach combining Burgundian tradition with a modern vision, he quickly turned the estate into a benchmark. In the 1990s, he was joined by his sons Jérémie and Alec, as well as his wife Rosalind, making Dujac an influential family-run estate in the global wine landscape.
Today, the estate cultivates around 15 hectares, with prestigious plots in Clos de la Roche, Clos Saint-Denis, Échezeaux, Bonnes-Mares, and other legendary terroirs.
Rigorous Viticulture, Between Organic and Biodynamic
Domaine Dujac grows its vines using organic farming methods, certified since 2008, with practices closely aligned with biodynamics. Respect for the soil and the plant is a top priority, as is the preservation of microbial diversity.
In the cellar, vinification is characterized by the significant use of whole bunches: a stylistic signature that brings freshness, structure, and aromatic complexity to the wines. Aging takes place in oak barrels with a balanced use of new wood so as not to mask the expression of each cru.
