Founded in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot, Maison Louis Jadot has become a symbol of winemaking excellence in Burgundy. However, the history of this house began much earlier, in 1826, with the acquisition of the Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Ursules, an iconic vineyard that would become the emblem of their expertise. From its inception, the house has been driven by a vision of innovation and respect for tradition.
Under the leadership of Louis-Auguste Jadot from 1945 onward, the house expanded into international markets, particularly in England and the United States. This spirit of openness contributed to the global reputation of Burgundy wines. Today, Maison Louis Jadot, led by Thibault Gagey, remains a key player in viticulture, preserving its heritage while adapting to modern times.
