- Bourgogne - Côte de Nuits

The Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet is located in Fixin, in the northern part of the Côte de Nuits. It is now led by Amélie Berthaut, who gradually took over the family estate starting in 2013 by bringing together vineyards from the Berthaut and Gerbet families. This union created an 18-hectare estate spread across emblematic appellations such as Fixin, Gevrey-Chambertin, and Vosne-Romanée. In just a few vintages, Amélie Berthaut has established herself as a rising figure among Burgundy’s new generation of winemakers, producing precise and elegant wines that reveal the terroirs of the Côte de Nuits with finesse.
In the vineyard, the estate follows a organically inspired approach, respectful of soils and vines, with careful parcel work to encourage the expression of terroir.
In the cellar, Amélie Berthaut adopts a low-intervention approach, using gentle extractions to preserve the finesse of Pinot Noir. Aging takes place in French oak barrels, with a measured use of new oak to maintain the balance of the wines. The estate’s style is defined by elegant, structured wines with great aromatic precision.
The estate mainly produces red wines from Pinot Noir, particularly from the appellations Fixin, Fixin Premier Cru, Gevrey-Chambertin, and Vosne-Romanée. The wines offer beautiful depth, fine tannins, and a pure expression of fruit, with remarkable aging potential.
The estate also produces a few confidential white wines from Chardonnay, crafted with the same commitment to precision and balance. The entire range reflects the estate’s modern and precise style, highlighting the terroirs of the Côte de Nuits.
