Domaine Hubert Lamy is one of the most respected estates in Burgundy, particularly in Saint-Aubin, where it is located. Founded in 1973 by Hubert Lamy himself, the estate has a family history of vine-growing that dates back to 1640. Today, it is Olivier Lamy, Hubert's son, who heads the estate with his wife Karine.
The estate covers 18.5 hectares spread across the appellations of Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Santenay, with plantings consisting of 75% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot Noir.
Olivier Lamy favors sustainable farming practices, avoiding herbicides and limiting the use of phytosanitary products. He adopts an innovative approach, occasionally practicing very high planting densities, reaching up to 30,000 vines per hectare. This approach creates competition between the vines, significantly enhancing the expression of the terroir.
In the cellar, the grapes are meticulously selected to produce exceptional wines. Aging takes place in barrels ranging from 300 to 600 liters for a period of 12 to 18 months, while carefully controlling the influence of the wood on the wine to preserve its freshness and tension.
Domaine Hubert Lamy offers a range of both red and white wines. The red wines are made from Pinot Noir, such as the Santenay Premier Cru « Clos des Gravières » or the Chassagne-Montrachet "La Goujonne". The white wines, made from Chardonnay, are recognizable by their liveliness and tension, like the Puligny-Montrachet "Les Tremblots" or the Saint-Aubin 1er Cru "En Remilly". Don't wait any longer to taste the wines of the estate !
