Founded in 1797 and rooted in Vosne Romanée since the late 18th century, Domaine Lamarche is one of the legendary estates of the Côte de Nuits. Since 2018, Nicole Lamarche, representing the 6th generation, has reimagined the estate with a decidedly modern vision. The estate’s terroirs include prestigious plots such as La Grande Rue (a family monopole, elevated to Grand Cru status in 1992), as well as historic grands crus like Clos Vougeot, Echézeaux, and Grands Echézeaux.

Under Nicole Lamarche’s leadership, the estate has significantly strengthened its organic and biodynamic viticulture practices since the 2000s. Yields are low, some plots are worked using horses, and harvesting is done by hand with rigorous selection. In the winery, vinification blends tradition and precision: open wooden vats, extended cold maceration, barrel aging with a limited proportion of new oak (20–40% depending on the cuvée), and amphora experimentation since 2020.
The resulting wines are a true expression of the Vosne-Romanée terroir: finesse, tension, elegance, pure fruit, and velvety density. Their recent consistency places them among the most balanced and high-quality references in the region.
