Giacomo Baraldo's family business was founded in the 1990s by his father, Silvestro, on land initially made up of forests and pastures. It was only when Giacomo turned 18, after tasting prestigious wines such as 1997 Sassicaia and a 2000 Barolo, that he decided to dedicate himself to winegrowing. Today, they cultivate around 4.5 hectares of vines on their 12-hectare property. Giacomo expanded his knowledge by traveling around the world. He notably worked in Argentina, New Zealand, and France, where he honed his skills in Burgundy at Domaine De Montille.
In 2016, Giacomo Baraldo decided to fully devote himself to viticulture. These international experiences allowed him to compare various winegrowing techniques and adopt an innovative and artisanal approach for his own estate.
The Giacomo Baraldo estate produces red wines, some of which ferment directly in the vineyard, offering a dynamic palate with elegant and persistent tannins. The white wines are distinguished by their freshness and balance, while also reflecting the unique Tuscan terroir. This artisanal and nature-respecting approach allows for the creation of authentic wines that fully express the characteristics of the local soil and climate.
